Welcome to the NODA newsletter
This month we have a new section - NODA News, where you can find all the latest updates and information from the association.
Another new feature are the NODA special offers. Each month we will feature a different, discounted product on the website, look out for links in the email newsletters and be one of the first to grab a bargain!

FREE online membership for those belonging to a NODA society
If you belong to a NODA society, whether you are an individual member of NODA or not, you are entitled to FREE online membership, via the website.
Just click on the SIGN UP tab (top right on the home page) and complete the simple form. You will need your society's URN (unique reference number). This can be obtained from a member of your society's committee, or by calling NODA Membership Services on: 01733 865790. We will be happy to help. Please ensure that all members of your society are aware of this service from NODA.
If you have individual, or joint, membership of NODA it's even easier for you. A profile is already set up for you. SIGN IN using your URN number as both login and password.

Really Useful Group (RUG) amateur dramatic survey
RUG are conducting a survey of amateur theatre groups to help them develop new titles for release.
Take part in the survey and your group will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win £1,000 towards music costs. Closing date: 29 July 2012.

Idina Menzel, the American actress, who originated the role of Wicked's, green-skinned, leading witch for both Broadway and the West End, is to return to London for a Royal Albert Hall gig.
The one night only concert on 6 October will feature the Tony Award-winning star, performing alongside the 60-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by multi-award-winning Broadway composer Marvin Hamlisch.

The World Shakespeare Festival , which is produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company for London 2012 Festival, runs from 23 April to 9 September 2012.

"The World Shakespeare Festival will also feature a celebration of amateur work with over 15 amateur Shakespeare productions from all over the UK being showcased at the RSC as part of the RSC's on going Open Stages project.
The project consists of over 260 amateur companies from Penzance to the Isle of Skye, performing Shakespeare, or Shakespeare inspired productions, taking part in skills sharing workshops and performing their work at 10 regional theatres.
With approximately 6400 amateurs the project aims to bring together professional and amateur theatre throughout the country."
Raising money for Alzheimer's Research
NODA members, the Sinodun Players, are performing Maskerade from 8 - 16 July 2011 to raise money for Alzheimer's Research a project inspired by Terry Pratchett.

The Theatre Ninjas iPhone App and partner website http://www.theatreninjas.co.uk/ offers you a chance to fill your show, have your work seen by a greater number of people and advertise through your presence on the app, website and word of mouth.
Theatre Ninjas also allows you to see the theatre shows, comedy and music gigs that have not sold to capacity on the day of the performance - for free!

Support your theatre... 4 Truck's Sake!
Hull Truck Theatre has launched an urgent appeal calling for its audience's support to help tackle serious funding cuts.
The theatre, a registered charity, is facing almost £500,000 worth of cuts to its public funding over the next three years. It has today launched a new fundraising campaign - 4 Truck's Sake.
